Middle Palisade

Middle Palisade

Standing 14,019′ tall, Middle Palisade sits in the center of the highest continuous ridge along the Sierra Crest. With grueling terrain and deceiving metrics, this mountain climb was surprisingly more challenging than expected. Cross country navigation, high streams, a glacier crossing, and thousands of feet of exposed rock scrambling, at high altitude, made for a serious commitment.

MOUNT SHASTA

MOUNT SHASTA

Dominating the the northern California landscape rests Mount Shasta. Sitting 14,179' above sea level, and visible from 140 miles away, this volcano is the icon of the Cascades mountain range.  Follow along as a we climb 7,300' over 11.5 miles to reach the summit.

The Great White Book

The Great White Book

Perhaps Tuolumne’s most classic wide climb. It is intimidating, polished, and is many climbers’ introduction to chimney and offwidth. Although it’s low-angle, the climbing grabs your attention with frequent runouts or awkward chimney moves.

The Matthes Crest

The Matthes Crest

The Matthes Crest is one of the most classic knife-edge ridges anywhere. Stunning scenery, fun climbing, and stomach- churning exposure combine to make Matthes Crest a true gem. Five star alpine climbing that is better than I dreamed of, and I dreamed about it for some time!

Thunderbolt to Sill Traverse

Thunderbolt to Sill Traverse

With over 5000' of climbing and covering five mountains over 14.000' tall, the Thunderbolt to Sill Traverse has been my greatest accomplishment in alpinism.

Juniper Canyon Link Up

Juniper Canyon Link Up

March 4th, 2016 with just a month away from Red Rock Rendezvous we set out to Las Vegas for a little pre-game.  Per the usual, the plan was ambitious but the spirit and stoke was high. Aiming for 1300' and pitches was going great until that rain showed up a day early, always an adventure!

Red Rock Rendezvous: Day 2

Red Rock Rendezvous: Day 2

Day two of the RRR climbing festival was the busiest.  We volunteered with Access Fund to help define trails around the Kraft Boulders, lead a trad route in our climbing clinic, and partied like a "rock star"  get it?  Like rocks, rock climbing, boulders, ehhh  just read and see!
